Essex high pressure natural gas regulators are used for low to high horsepower vehicle applications. This two stage regulator uses a venturi effect to aid pressure control during varied flow demands. The result is an extremely tight tolerance for outlet pressure.
These regulators conform to AGA requirements as well as many other SAE and military specifications. An optional 0-ring system which functions to alleviate pressure hysteresis is also available.
Other features include a patented internal 600psi relief system, as well as internal engine coolant passages preventing freezing during high flow conditions. Each regulator contains internal filters, with all external components resistant to harsh automotive environments. The design incorporates the same type of corrosion protection that guards our aerospace components, including stainless steel and Type II military specification anodizing. Each regulator is pressure and flow tested before delivery.
