Liquid Oxygen Components

Pictured above, the fill, buildup and vent valve is an automatic-acting type that provides a safe, rapid method to control liquid and gaseous oxygen flow during fillup and operation of cryogenic converters. The valve connections are specifically designed to mate with a standard liquid oxygen ground handling device. A check valve in the fill out port of this valve prevents reverse flow of the liquid and gases. Valve construction is of aluminum with stainless steel poppets and Teflon seals.

This coupling provides a quick and reliable means of engaging and disengaging cryogenic lines with no loss of system fluids. Each disconnect half seals itself automatically prior to disengagement of the interface seal. The reverse is accomplished during engagement with the interface seal being secured before opening the check valves in each coupling half. Positive engagement of the mating coupling is verified by the appearance of the mating pins in the cam view port of the detent sleeve of the female half. It may also be verified audibly.
The series 256000 disconnect coupling, shown left, provides a convenient and efficient method of connecting and disconnecting lines which do not require a self-sealing coupling. Observation holes in the coupling body provide a visual verification that the coupling is securely locked in the coupled position. The disconnect provides a leak-proof line joint when coupled and in the locked position.
