Electro-Thermal-Link Ball Valve
These FM Approved fire safe ball valves contain an Electro-Thermal-Link (ETL) that reacts (melts) when subjected to heat (165°F or alternate as ordered) exactly the same as an ordinary link. However, they also react (melt) when subjected to external electrical impulse of low power over an extremely short period of time. Such as an electrical impulse of 0.2 amps (less than one milli-second) at a voltage range of 6-30 v AC or DC low voltage NEC Class 2 (found on most smoke detectors) and switched through any appropriately rated normally open (N/O) set of contacts in the detector. The ETL will then be impulsed upon detection of smoke.
