The Essex Fluid Controls Thermal Shut-Off Ball valve is the first of its kind on the market today. It may be purchased to shut or open in the event of a fire or hazardous situation. Often referred to as a fusible link shut down device, the basic unit comes with a 165°F fusible link. These units are Factory Mutual Approved. The valve is like any other manually operated fire safe ball valve, but when left in the open position, the valve will close itself automatically.
