Engineering and Design
Since the early 1960s, the engineering staff at Essex Cryogenics has designed and developed cryogenic systems and components to commercial and military specifications and custom designed parts and assemblies to meet proprietary needs. Our innovative and dedicated engineering staff encompasses over 150 years of thin and heavy walled pressure vessel design. Using today's fast moving computer technology and electromechanical design, the creative engineers at Essex Cryogenics are ready to meet your needs for the next generation oxygen liquifaction, storage and delivery technologies.

Fabrication And Assembly
With its low turnover rate, Essex Cryogenics is able to rely upon and train its personnel to meet specific processing and test requirements. Many employees have been trained and certified to varied standards in welding, dye penetrant inspection and radiographic (X-Ray) examination. These capabilities along with specialties in vacuum container processing, copper plating, cleaning, sheet metal fabrication and intricate pressure control device assembly makes Essex Cryogenics a leader in specialized fields where many lives depend on our quality products.


Overhaul, Service and Repair


Essex Cryogenics started in 1963 by addressing specific liquid oxygen container requirements for the Air Force. Since then it has grown into a facility of over 55,000 sq. ft. of office and manufacturing space. With customer support in mind, Essex Cryogenics has become a leader in the fabrication, re-manufacture, installation and repair of cryogenics vessels and storage systems and has received numerous quality, service and on-time delivery awards for its efforts.

Our expertise in cryogenic vacuum processing, specification welding and cryogenic valve assembly makes Essex Cryogenics a one-stop facility to handle your small or large quantity cryogenic and pressure vessel needs.

And Essex Cryogenics has established the facilities and processes to generate, stock and maintain a Portable Therapeutic Liquid Oxygen (PTLOX) rotary pool inventory for the Air Force Medical Logistics Office (AFMLO).
